Why Logbook

Built for training, and the crew in it.

Logbook does three things well: fast logging, real progress, and a feed of your crew's real training. Newest first, no ads, no algorithm deciding what you see.

  1. 01

    Proof of work

Best sets, volume, streaks, and history live next to the lift, not buried in a separate dashboard you'll never open.

  2. 02

    Feeds, not algorithms

Home, club, and member feeds show real sessions from the people you actually lift with. Newest first, no ranking algorithm, no performing for strangers.

  3. 03

    Owned history

Offline-safe logging, no lock-in, no ad business. Your training record is the most valuable thing in this app, and it stays yours.

The whole pitch, in one line

Show up. Log the set. Train with your crew.

Logbook isn't built to farm your attention. It's built so the next session is easier than the last one, and so the people who actually train with you can see you put in the work.

Common questions

What lifters ask.

What is Logbook?
Logbook is a focused iPhone training journal for lifters who want fast logging, real progress over time, and accountability with their club. It also records runs, walks, rides and sport sessions with GPS, and runs Sports Teams where a coach assigns the sessions. It positions itself as "Strava for the gym", built for serious training rather than social broadcasting.
Is Logbook free?
Yes. Logging is free and unlimited, and so is joining clubs and everything inside them. Creating clubs is capped at 2 on Free and 5 on Pro. Logbook Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks the intelligence layer: deeper analytics, advanced insights, and a higher AI Coach daily limit (25 messages a day, up from 5). No ads, and we never sell your data.
What makes Logbook different from Hevy or Strong?
Hevy is built around a follow-based public feed. Strong stays focused on solo logging. Logbook pairs fast set entry with clubs: invite-only by default, or followers-only or public if you choose. Your feed is the clubs you joined, in chronological order, with no algorithmic ranking and no ad business.
How much does Logbook Pro cost?
Logbook is free to start, with an optional Pro subscription for the analytics and AI-coaching features. Pricing is shown in the app and on the App Store before you ever pay. The yearly plan starts with a free first week; the monthly plan bills straight away. Cancel anytime.
Is Logbook on Android?
Logbook is iPhone-first. The mobile web app works on Android and desktop. Log strength sessions, follow team assignments and view your training history in your browser. The native app is available on iPhone.
Who built Logbook?
Logbook is built independently by Miles Miller from New Zealand. No investors, no ad business. The product is funded to be a tool, not an attention machine. Full story at /about.
